Name: Belinda Arbalez

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Age: 28

Place of Birth: Spain

Rank: Corporal

Branch: Spanish Army

Position: Technician, Delta Team

Appearance: Belinda is beautiful, both literally and figuratively. Her name means beautiful, and even if it didn't, after her they probably would have changed it so it did. With wavy dark brown hair, eyes a shade of brown so appealing they make chocolate jealous, and flawless perfectly tanned skin she truly is quite a sight to see. Add to her natural beauty the mass of beauty enhancing make-up she faithfully wears every day and the girl could give Helen of Troy a run for her money. So, yeah, Belinda is beautiful.

Personality: Belinda is one of those people everyone loves to hate, you know the stereotypical girly-girl. The one who's obsessed with looks and fashion, flirts whenever she gets the chance, and is obnoxiously perky the rest of the time without having any clue as to how her behavior might be bothersome to others. That being said, despite being terribly annoying, she's actually quite nice. It's just that her being nice generally involves her offering to do your hair for you, "'cause that style went out, like, two years ago!" In short, she's got the personality of a floozie.

Bio: Belinda was born in Spain, to a moderately wealthy family. She was the baby of the family, the last of her parent's three children, and as such she was spoiled incredibly as a child. She was allowed to do as she pleased, and what she pleased generally involved her being allowed to play with her mother's make-up and jewellry.

From youth, Belinda grew into a very pretty girl, a fact that the young male population of her small seaside Spanish town was well aware of. That being said Belinda loved the attention, although she found that she enjoyed the flirting aspect of boys far more interesting than the actual dating of them. Young, often misguided, crushes distracted her from her schoolwork, which had never been good to begin with. She was good at math, when she bothered with it, but other than that she found school to be boring.

In a misguided attempt to get even more flirting time, Belinda signed up for a shop class when she was in high school. To the surprise of, well, everyone she turned out to be really good at it. Really, really good. This lead to even more shop classes, because, perhaps most surprising of all, Belinda truly enjoyed building and making things.

This led to her going to a vocational college, where she excelled in school for the first time ever, and she graduated a year ahead schedule (although whether this was because of exceptional skills in the area, or because they just wanted to get rid of her is debatable).

Belinda then surprised everyone again, deciding to join the army after she had finished college. The way she figured it, the army would be building all the most interesting things and at least that way she wouldn't have to "wear those ugly construction hats all the time".

The Spanish army became quickly aware of Belinda's skills in the areas of making and fixing almost anything mechanical, and soon she found herself helping in the construction of all the latest weaponry technology. When the Spanish government heard about the Atlantis mission, they pointed Dr. Weir straight in Belinda's direction, citing her as being one of the best (although failing to mention her habit of being one of the most annoying ). Happily, Belinda decided to join the expedition because she'd never been one to turn down an adventure, and also, just slightly, because the Atlantis uniforms were so cute.
