Name: Dr. Chris Jackson

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Age: 30

Place of Birth: Melbourne, Australia

Rank: Civilian (C1)

Branch: Civilian

Position: Psychologist, Base Staff

Appearance: Not a short man as such, but Chris has always been the shortest in his family - just the same height as his little cousin, Sam, which earned him some silly jokes from his brother and cousins.

With usually short black, curly hair and dark eyes, Chris' one little trademark is the pencil he tucks away just above his ear - not for any particular reason, just because he likes to freak people out. Also, being an identical twin, Chris has a few differences to his brother Matt - one, his eyes are slightly narrower, but no one else can tell; two, and possibly the more obvious is that Matt is taller by an inch.

Personality: Many people, upon meeting Chris, have been noted to comment with things like "fruit cake" or "nut job"; but aside from that, he's pretty intelligent. The reason, perhaps, for Chris' quite unique personality is probably due to his being a twin and always being confused with another, completely different person.

So, aside from being a nutty young man with a PhD in psychology, Chris is also very calming in some way, which is helpful to his patients, and very dedicated to his work. No matter how many people he talks to, every single one of them is important enough for him to remember exactly who they are if he happens to walk past them on another day.

Bio: Christopher was born around fifteen minutes before his brother, Matthew, which by no means has ever made him the more mature or respected of the pair. From the very beginning, Matthew was always the more mature, and this didn't bother Chris in the least.

As a boy, he used to play nasty pranks on his sister Raelene, like sticking glue in her hair and leaving jelly underneath her covers and so on. His cousins weren't safe, either. The three girls used to, of course, gang up on him after a while of getting sick of his annoying behaviour.

Rest assured, however, that Chris did indeed grow up. Being so close to his cousins meant that any traumatic experience that happened in their family was basically shared in his - not that they ever thought of themselves as a separate family or anything. So, after seeing how his cousins reacted to certain situations, it struck up a desire in Chris to study psychology.

Once he began the course, Chris began seeing more and more of a need for psychologists and people who just cared; and he began to care so much more than he did. Even to the point where he would quiz his little cousins on the trauma they experienced from his influence - not that they did anything much but laugh.

Chris then began practicing and quickly found himself on a few military bases helping out some rather serious cases. To begin helping those working on the Stargate project, Chris was a little stunned. There really wasn't anything much in the textbooks about how meeting aliens could affect one's mindset. Of course, learning from experience due to his absolute determination to help these people, Chris became somewhat of an expert on the subject, and therefore the Atlantis mission was just a must-have for him.
