Appearance: Eleanor - or Ellie, as she is more commonly known - has long, black hair, usually in a loose pony tail, as it's always messy in some way, and greenish-blue eyes. She's not unnaturaly tall, but usually is taller than most other women. This factor caused her much scorn during her earlier years, but people soon grew out of it.
Personality: Ellie is very insecure about herself, and whenever she's taken to a new place, she always feels nervous to the point of nausea. Often her reluctance to talk to strangers is taken a snobbery, but Ellie is anything but a snob. She's extremely kind, generous and caring of anyone and everyone around her, and would never intentionally hurt anyone's feelings.
Bio: The Jacksons were always a very caring bunch of people, they raised their children the best way they knew how to, and were always giving and sharing among their community, in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Living right next door to their cousins, the Jacksons really were a bright, noisy (and annoying) bunch as kids. At least they were bright. During her early school years, Ellie used to get a lot of scorn for her height. She wasn't abnormally tall, but being just that inch taller than every boy in the year level did cause the teasing to begin. It therefore goes without saying that Ellie hated primary school.
The teasing improved by the time Ellie was in year seven, but the insecurities were set for life. Ellie was always afraid to go places she wasn't sure about - and her friends had to go with her while she asked about her first part time job. Her decision to join the navy was more or less her own decision, but if her brother hadn't decided to join the Air Force, she may not have ever joined up.
It actually came as a surprise to Ellie when she was selected to be a part of the Stargate project back on Earth, and even more so when, a couple of years later, she became a part of the Atlantis mission.
Ellie was promoted from Able Seaman to Leading Seaman in November 2005.
